It's official - Roseola Virus

Brandon DOES have roseola virus. He just finished his 2nd day of rash, getting worse than the previous day. I talked to the doctor today and she said that the "contagious" part is over even if he looks like a leper. Ok not that bad, but there is a rash on his forehead, a little on his cheeks and a lot on his stomach. The best part is that the fever is gone. I wish I could say he is back to normal, but he is so tired and has such low endurance. He seems to want to nap every 2 hours and his legs are more jelly like and his walking is more wobbly. His appetite is slowly coming back and he is eating a little more at each meal. He's a solid baby - but I have to say that he lost some weight this week. I told Ryan this evening after Brandon's bath that he was positively skinny. Comparatively, he is. haha. I look forward to getting back the old Brandon, as sweet as his cuddly ways were when he was ill, it's not a replacement for my happy, active little kiddo.

Ryan's dad, Larry, just arrived. He had a horrible journey to get here. It started at the Denver Airport shuttle where a woman (let's call her Dippy) accidentally took Larry's bag which looked a lot like hers. Eventually she figured it out and paged Larry. So, Dippy asked Larry to meet her at Carousel 10, which was in a different terminal. So, Larry took the airtrain over there and lo and behold, Dippy was not there. Larry had to get back to his gate so he wouldn't miss his flight. He gets on the airtrain and it breaks! It took him 40 min to get back to his gate. When he got there with one other man that was on the airtrain, the gate agent wouldn't let them on, even though the plane was there and still loading luggage. She said there weren't enough people affected by the airtrain to delay this flight by letting them on. RUDE and RUDE! So, Larry watched his flight leave and to add insult to injury wouldn't you know that Dippy shows up right there looking for her bag. Of course, when Larry asked for his, she said that she left his at Lost in Found...in another terminal. Well, with the delayed departure he was able to go and get his bag and wait around for his flight which now had a stop in Cincinnati, instead of being nonstop. Of course, the flight in Cincinnati was delayed and he arrived even later. I think he finally got here around midnight when his original flight would have landed at 4:30 p.m.
