Sam has been here since Friday evening. We picked him up at Penn Station. Amtrak makes kids under 16 wait in the office until someone picks them up. Sam seemed to old for all that, but I'm glad for the safety. He had a great time at CTY - Center for Talented Youth Program in Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University. It was a 3 week program and he seemed to have made a lot of friends and learned so much. It is SO GOOD to see him. He has the magic touch with Brandon and it was amazing how comfortable he was with Sam almost immediately.
Every morning, he would wake up and immediately strain his neck towards the bedroom door, when I take him out to the living room, he looks for Sam. It is fun for me to see that...and it is nice to be able to leave him with Sam so I can get ready for the day. Sometimes they roll around on the air mattress, play with toys, or just watch some Backyardigans.
On Saturday morning Sam and Ryan went to see the Dark Knight. After they were done, Brandon and I met them at the Lincoln Square Farmer's Market and bought some great veggies and fruit for Sunday's dinner. Then we ate lunch at Tenzan, a local sushi spot recommended by a friend.

Brandon loves the breeze on his face. In the third picture - he is staring up at one of his favorites....rustling leaves...

RUSTLING LEAVES

Brandon is giving cutes looks to Maya. He sees her almost once, twice, three times daily. She is owner of the shop right next to our building.

Brandon hamming it up with Sam before he heads to bed.

Sam and Ryan made a run to 42nd street late one night to buy some souvenirs and I think he was tired out by the end of the evening.

Sam and Brandon in our elevators getting ready for a quick shopping trip to buy IHOME 2go and some shirts. Brandon helped Sam look for shirts at Urban Outfitters. We stopped for lunch at a Street Meat Cart.

Saying goodbye to Sam...what's Brandon going to do now??? What's mom gonna do?

Sad to see the Taxi go....come back soon, Sam!
